 Staff Hiring |

For former staff members, you are going to be demoted back to your level of membership. Your staff abilities will return to you if you are hired again.
Hello fellow members. We're finally getting to that time where new staff is needed because some of the ones here now are just either being flat out dead beats or just isn't active anymore, and we hate that. >.< So, for the members that are active here, you now have an opportunity to become part of the staff, which will allow you more features, though more responsibilities as well. As part of the staff, members will expect your activity on the board to be more often than your usual activity time on the board, unless your already a very well active member, then that's no problem. Also, even for any staff member on the board as well as a regular member, you will still be required to follow the Board Rules like everyone else. Anyway, on to the opening positions.
Note: We will only be hiring 3 Moderators, 3 Global Moderators, and 3 Co-Administrators.
Moderator
Moderators will each be assigned 3 specific areas of the board (Ex: New Members, Open Discussion, Forum Activities) which they will be meant to watch over time by time on the board. A Moderator in that section of the selected area will have more have more features and options which a Moderator will need to get their job done. A Moderator will also have more power over a Global Moderator in that section of the board. If you are a Global Moderator and are told from a Moderator to back down in a problem, then do so.
Global Moderator
A Global Moderator follows the same expectations as a regular Moderator and has Access to the Mod CP, except a Global Moderator will be required to watch over all areas of the board. Moderators however have more power over Global Moderators in their selected areas.
Co-Administrator
Unlike a Moderator and Global Moderator, a Co-Administrator will have access to the Admin CP and Mod CP which is where everything is done and made. As a Co-Administrator, you will be required the responsibilities of a Global Moderator. However, you will also have power to warn a member unlike a Moderator and Global Moderator. A Co-Administrator is a very important addition to the board. If a Member, Moderator, or Global Moderator does not obey Co-Administrator orders, they will report to me and I will decide what will happen from there.

- References to support any possible experience in the position.
When the staff hiring will end is anonymous, but will not end in less than a week, so be sure to apply as soon as possible.

Ok, I know people have been waiting for this for a while now, and I finally got around to completing the rules update. The rules are where they've always been, below the banner, next to the Site Portal. Here is what is in the Board Rules.

Vocabulary
We are not too strict on the rules as far as how to speak on the board. In fact, so long as we can understand what you are saying, you’re perfectly fine. However, if we catch something that seems to be unclear to people, we will try to edit it to where it can make more sense. If we can’t, we will simply PM you to edit your post to that topic. If you are someone that has the tension to swear a lot, try to keep it outside the board or talk to an administrator about the situation. If you are publicly or personally reported by at least 3 different members about swearing, with proof, then your Warn Level will be increased +1.
Spamming
This rule does not apply to the Spammin’ section of the board. Spamming, to this board, is basically posting 3 or less words in a post and/or posting complete gibberish. If you are caught or notified at least 3 times about spamming by three different people, with proof, then your Warn level will be increased +1.
Double Posting
Double posting is posting two posts in a row in a topic. Even if it means trying to bring back a topic, please refrain from double posting. However if you do a double post that was made on accident, then let an administrator know so he/she can determine whether it should be excused or not. If you have 3 or more unexcused double posts, your Warn Level will be increased +1.
Note: This rule does not apply to the category, Creations, but ONLY if you are just making updates to your work. You may only update your work twice if no one has posted after you.
Respect Members
Show respect to others around the board. This means respect their opinions instead of making fun of them, or insulting them about it if they talk about stuff you may not agree with. In other words, do not flame the member. Be more reasonable and talk it over. Otherwise, take it outside of the board. If you are caught flaming another member at least 2 times, your Warn Level will be increased +2.
Adult Content
This rule does not apply to sections of the board that have a word, Mature, in the title. Anywhere else, we do not allow it for any reason. If a member is caught posting adult content, your Warn Level will be increased +2.
Advertising
Advertising is allowed on the board. You may only advertise yours or another’s website in the section, Advertisement, and must have 15 or more posts before doing so, otherwise the link will be removed until you gain 15 posts, then you can edit the link back. You may also advertise the site in your signature.
User Signature
All rules above apply to your Signature as well. The maximum image size limit is 600x550, pixel size. You can have a limit of at least 10 images in your Signature. You may only have one flash content in your signature, and counts as one of your 10 images. If you are reported by 3 different people about your signature, then your Warn Level will be increased +1.
Shout Box Rules
If you are caught in a flame war inside the Shout Box, you will be banned from the Shout Box for one day. If you are caught in 3 flame wars in the Shout Box, your Warn Level will be increased +1. If you are a Guest, then you will be banned from the Shout Box for 3 days if caught in a flame war.
Note: If you end up reaching +5 on your warn level, you will be banned completely from the board.

| The Official CSF RP Begins |

Alright. The moment you've all been waiting for. The site RP for CSF is ready and planned. Now im going to go through various rules and things.
FIRST! I want a nice clean RP. No BSing your way out of a tight spot. If you want to do that you have to write a long extensive plot device and even then Im going to want author approval so we dont have stupid things happening.
Secondly. We're going to be forgiving. For example. if someone gets lost and doesnt know whats going on, or missed a detail it will be treated IC as a memory issue. 'they forgot' Most things in this situation will be caught by simple use of the OOC topic i'll make in a few minutes.
Third. All main plot elements will be controlled by myself, Shadow Ryusaki, and Saintity. We'll keep the main story moving and with three of us it'll stay interesting.
And Finally. I'd like to have everyone thats participating post their character and where that character is from in the OOC topic. I'll make a list and keep it at the beginning of the topic. as for the dimentions, you are more than free to make your own dimentions if your character doesnt correspond with the rest, but we'll have three main ones. Mine, Saintity's and Shadows. SciFi, Modern (with elements of everything), and Fantasy.
I'll post the RP link and the OOC link here momentarily. If anyone has anything to add, do so.
We're doing this RP and we're doing it right.

Well, I've always thought we should have contests like this, so why not start out with a banner contest? So, here it is, the first of hopefully many contests to come, the official CSF Banner Contest. Enjoy! Oh, and please read everything. If you do not read everything there is, you will not be allowed to enter the contest. This topic is reserved for questions only, no entries will be allowed to be posted here.

Well, here are the rules:
1. No using another banner you've found and just editing it, it MUST be your original work.
2. This goes along the lines with rule #1. No claiming another banner someone made as your own, that's just dumb.
3. Stay within the requiements and make sure you include each one in the Banner, if you don't you won't be allowed to enter.
4. Please do not use any swear words.
5. Please do not use and pornography/hentai. If you try to do something that stupid, there will be consequences.
6. ALL ENTRIES ARE TO BE DONE THROUGH PM'S SENT TO ME ONLY! This is not because I want control or something, this is just to stop people from sending a banner to all the admins trying to get it added faster, which is annoying, and it just makes it simpler if only one person recieves the enties. So, only send them to me or they will not be entered into the contest.

And here are the requirements:
1. Must be within 700x150 and 800x200 in size.
2. Must be Sonic related.(Obviously)
3. Must say Chaos Sonic on it somewhere.(Obviously yet again)
4. Must have a decent amount of green in it to keep with ER's(Polymus') banner trend.
5. Must be original and creative.(Don't be boing and make simplistic banners, try adding special effects, borders, etc.)
6. Do not include pictures of your fan characters in the banner, no one cares about them, the only character that is allowed on the banner, if any is Sonic.

The way it works:
Ok, so, starting tomorrow, you will be able to enter in your banners. Each member is allowed to enter three different banners in total and once they are entered, you can not replace any you've already entered with a new one.
When you make your entries, please do not post them in this topic. This topic is only for questions about the contest. All entries are to be Pmed to me and I will post them in a special topic in the Staff Room for safe keeping.
In order to weed out the people who did not read this all the way, add the following phrase to the end of your Pm's when you send the banner: "To Write Love On Her Arms". If you do not add that to the end of your Pm, your banner will not be entered into the contest.

PRIZES:
First Prize: The winner gets a chance to have your banner become the official CSF banner and have it appear at the top of the forum. (NOTE: This, as it says, is only a chance and not a garuntee. ER must say that your banner can be made the official banner for it to become it.)
Second Prize: The person who comes in second will be given a special drawing made by Cloud Kaiser that will be fit to their requests.
Third Prize: The person who comes in third place will be given a Signature/Avatar Set made by me based on any theme they desire. |

You can now join the Site RP without joining a Faction. There were a lot of people not wanting to join because they thought it was a big war game, and this is to show it's not. So, if you have the desire to find out more about the new feature to the Site Rp and how the non-faction part works, Pm me or post in the new Sub-Forum called, Non-Faction Area. This is a place that will be used for OOC and it is also a place where people can ask general questions or go to get help with the Site Rp. |

| New Battle Arena and Site Rp |

News:
I'm working on adding a working Battle System with a Site Rp that works along with it, allowing you to meet up with enemies or even friends in the Site Rp and then fight them in the Battle Arena. The Site Rp will be a muliti-areaed Rp with 10 different topics representing 10 different towns or villages. These towns or villages can be controled by two different factions, for now. The faction will be basic Light vs Dark right now. Your Faction will be set up through your class. The leader of that class will be the one that chooses their classes faction, to a point. We want it to stay as even as possible, so if we have eight classes, it will be four to a faction.
Things you can help with:
I need help naming the towns and villages in the Site Rp. Same as above for submissions. |

Well, surely everyone has noticed by now, though we at last got our Shout Box back, hopefully no longer having to run into any unexpected guests on it now. We now also, no matter how much I kept getting bugged about it, alas have our fellow Emerald Skin Changer back. Sure the skins don't change THAT much, but even simply just different colors make a nice difference sometimes. =P
I want to thank Chaos who last night has been helping me with a lot of the coding. We stayed up like freakishly late, so yeah. xD
More updates may continue later on, and we'll let you all know when those things come in. For now, that is all.

Alright. I've officially gotten sick of all this crap I'm not able to enforce within the shout box. So, again I am going to be taking down this shout box and, within time, CSF is going to get a member-usable only Shout Box. No more people shouting as other people. (yay) I guess a bunch of other stuff too, but I guess that depends on the Shout Box. Either way though, this one is going to go.
In time, things will get better. Thank you.
